Welcome,

Have a seat.

What’s going on inside?

My approach

Perhaps you need someone to listen to you, someone to help you feel more safe, someone to guide you in understanding what is going on in your life. Maybe you would like to have less pain and confusion. Perhaps I am the therapist to join with you in seeking a better life.

Many people enjoy having a place where they can talk about their concerns without being judged. Together, you and I will make sense of your thoughts, feelings, and experiences - including confusing and difficult ones - and figure out ways to help you achieve your goals for wellness.

I have expertise and experience in working with concerns that affect everyone, such as depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. I also have particular specialties in health psychology, the relationship of mind and body, trauma, problematic technology use, spirituality, and altered states of consciousness.

Dr. David Laramie is a licensed psychologist with a deep belief in the importance of integrative, mind-body approaches to mental health. He was the 2014 President of the Los Angeles County Psychological Association and continues to be very involved in his professional community.  His 2006 doctoral research on cell phones anticipated the shadow side of the constantly connected smartphone lifestyle.  He presented that work at conferences and has been interviewed about it by various media outlets including the New York TimesNational Public Radio, and Prevention. Following his study of Health Psychology in graduate school, he sought out extensive training in mindfulness meditation, and existential and depth psychotherapy. He is particularly interested in mind-body approaches including breathwork, psychedelics, biofeedback, energy psychology, and somatic awareness. He utilizes all of these practices in his own life to cultivate balance and contentment.
